Vipassana is an ancient mindfulness meditation technique. It involves observing your thoughts and emotions as they are, without judging or dwelling on them. What happens when you do Vipassana meditation?
Vipassana meditation is the practice of observing the subtle sensations throughout the body without reacting to them. You scan the body with your attention, noticing the sensations arise and simply watching them. If a sensation is pleasurable, you observe it and let it pass.
How many hours a day do you meditate in Vipassana?

What food is given in Vipassana?
For lunch, we provide various simple cooked vegetarian meals. In the evening we provide fruits (apples, oranges, bananas) in addition to tea/milk, lemon water for old students.

Who should not do Vipassana?
Obviously, someone who is physically too weak to follow the schedule will not be able to benefit from a course. Even those suffering from any psychiatric problems, or those going through emotional upheavals, should not attend the course. Does one have to be a Buddhist to practise Vipassana?
Does Vipassana cost money?
According to the tradition of Vipassana, there are no fees or charges for attending the courses, not even for accommodation and food.

What happens in a 10 day Vipassana course?
10 days, 11 hours of meditation per day. No talking or communication of any kind, not even hand gestures or eye contact. No reading or writing materials of any kind. No exercise, no entertainment, no physical contact, no leaving the grounds, no food or drink besides what was provided.
Can Vipassana be done at home?
If you’re interested in trying Vipassana meditation at home, follow these steps: Set aside 10 to 15 minutes to practice. It’s recommended that you do Vipassana when you first wake up in the morning. Choose a quiet area with little to no distractions.
